Carlisle

Overview & Features   Carlisle is a mainline station serving a number of rail companies.The station is operated by Virgin Trains. The Citadel station was built in 1847 and was designed by William Tite, who was also responsible for the London Stock Exchange.In its heyday seven railway companies operated from the station.
