Engineering Work

Engineering work will result in changes to train services during a number of autumn weekends.

 

Sundays, 12 and 19 September

Trains will operate between Leeds Square and Keighley with connecting buses between Keighley and Skipton. Trains will operate between Skipton and Carlisle.

Sundays, 26 September and 3 October
Trains will start from/terminate at Skipton with connecting buses operating between Skipton and Shipley to transfer to trains to/from Leeds.
Saturdays and Sundays,
16/17 and 23/24 October
From 1900 on Saturdays and all day on Sundays, the line will be closed between Hellifield and Carlisle.
 
Saturdays: Replacement buses (at modified times) will replace the 1816 Carlisle-Leeds train. The 1750 and 1919 trains from Leeds will terminate at Hellifield. The 2100 Ribblehead-Leeds train will start from Hellifield. Replacement buses will operate between Hellifield and Carlisle.
 
Sundays: Trains will only operate between Hellifield/Skipton and Leeds with buses operating between Carlisle and Hellifield/Skipton.
Dales Rail trains will terminate and start from Hellifield.
Saturday, 30 and Sunday, 31 October
From 2000 on Saturdays and all day on Sundays, the line will be closed between Hellifield and Carlisle.
 
Saturdays: The 1919 Leeds-Ribblehead and 2100 Leeds-Ribblehead services will operate to/from Hellifield with replacement buses operating between Hellifield and Ribblehead..
 
Sundays: Trains will only operate between Hellifield/Skipton and Leeds with buses operating between Carlisle and Hellifield/Skipton.
Dales Rail trains will terminate and start from Hellifield
Saturday, 11 and Sunday, 12 December

No trains will operate between Appleby and Carlisle from 1900 hours on Saturday and all day on Sunday.

Saturday:  Buses will operate between Carlisle and Appleby.  Southbound, they will depart Carlisle at 1730 and 1825 connecting to trains at Appleby. 

Sunday:  Buses will operate between Carlisle and Appleby with trains departing Appleby at amended times.

Saturday, 18 and Sunday, 19 December
From 1900 on Saturdays and all day on Sundays, the line will be closed between Hellifield and Carlisle.
 
Saturdays: Replacement buses (at modified times) will replace the 1816 Carlisle-Leeds train. The 1750 and 1919 trains from Leeds will terminate at Hellifield. The 2100 Ribblehead-Leeds train will start from Hellifield. Replacement buses will operate between Hellifield and Carlisle.
 
Sundays: Trains will only operate between Hellifield/Skipton and Leeds with buses operating between Carlisle and Hellifield/Skipton.
Monday, 27 and Tuesday, 28 DecemberThe line will be closed between Hellifield and Carlisle.  Replacement buses will operate between these stations.

 Special timetables for these periods of engineering work will eb available in due course.
